What To Do Before Donning A Disposable Glove
DO
Wash your hands before putting on a pair of disposable gloves. When starting any new task, wash hands fully once again to avoid cross-contamination from the first task, and then don the new pair of gloves.
DO
Select a glove size that fits securely but comfortably around your wrist & hand so they don’t fall off while working.
DO
Visually check for any rips or holes in the gloves before use, if there are any, discard them for a serviceable pair immediately!
DON'T
Blow into the gloves to test their quality or to make them easier to put on. This can cause contamination blown into the glove itself and therefore onto your hands. If the glove was to then tear, the hand could contaminate the food items being worked on.
DON'T
Roll up the cuff of the glove to make it easier to put on, as this will increase risk of cross-contamination from hand to glove.
