For over 60 years Handgards has been a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality food service disposable products, including high density (HD) and low density (LD) Food Storage Bags, Reclosable Bags, HD Specialty Bags, HD Pre-Portioning Bags, HD Food Sheets and BOPP High-Clarity Bags.
Handgards® offers a Low-Density (LD) storage bag for storing and keeping sandwiches, pastas, vegetables, fruits, and breads fresh and crisp in a refrigerated or dry storage/prep area. We also offer a High-Density (HD) storage bag product line which is designed to protect even further by blocking out light and air which cause spoilage, therefore preserving foods longer. Our HD bag products are designed to withstand temperatures from -50°F (-45.5°C) up to 220°F (104.4°C), so they are perfect for transporting stored foods from the freezer to microwave or warmers without freezer burn and without the need to repackage foods.
Handgards® TuffGards® polyethylene LD food storage bags are produced from polyethylene resin which fully complies with FDA Rule 177.1520 for food contact, and Handgards® TuffGards® High Density polyethylene bags are produced from high molecular weight, high density polyethylene resin which fully complies with FDA rule 177.1520 for food contact. Our BOPP High-Clarity Bags are produced from polyolefin compounds, which fully comply with FDA requirements as stated in the code federal regulations 21 CFR, section 177.1520.
